Payroll giving lets you make regular donations to Skin Cancer New Zealand directly from your pay. It’s simple, tax-efficient, and a powerful way to help more New Zealanders stay safe in the sun, detect skin cancers early, and access the best possible care.
Even small contributions add up, helping prevent skin cancers and save lives across New Zealand.
Your donation will be automatically deducted from your pay before tax. Your employer will calculate your tax credit (33.33 cents for every dollar donated) and adjust your PAYE or withholding tax accordingly.
Donations through payroll giving are deducted before tax, so you cannot include them in your end-of-year tax credit claim.
If your workplace doesn’t currently offer a payroll giving programme, you can find information on setting one up through the Inland Revenue (IRD). Payroll giving allows staff to donate directly from their pay, tax-efficiently, to charities such as Skin Cancer New Zealand.
