The 2026 New Zealand Skin Cancer Summit was held in Wellington last weekend, bringing together clinicians, researchers, policymakers, sector leaders, international experts and people with lived experience from across Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond.
Under the theme Equity in Action: Bridging Gaps for Skin Cancer, the Summit created space for shared thinking across prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care, with a focus on improving outcomes and reducing inequities in skin cancer care.
The programme featured national and international perspectives alongside lived experience, reinforcing the value of collaboration in shaping the future of skin cancer care.
