The Aotearoa New Zealand Melanoma Clinical Guidelines have been updated and the latest version (4th edition) is now available. This evidence-based resource supports clinical decision-making across melanoma prevention, detection, diagnosis and treatment.
Grounded in the latest international evidence and best practice, the updated guidelines promote consistent, high-quality care and help reduce variation in melanoma management.
They have been developed by the National Melanoma Working Group and Skin Cancer New Zealand, with broad sector input. This edition also underwent international peer review and a dedicated equity review.
We encourage all clinicians involved in melanoma care to use the guidelines in their practice.
